What is required for an installation area?

All we need for installation is a flat and stable Surface

Is an external power connection required?

Thanks to the latest Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, the locking system can be operated with a rechargeable battery so that no power connection is required

Is wi-fi required?

No. Tandem.mobility programs operate on cellular communication technology. As long as there is one bar of cell service, we're good.

How much space is required?

The space required for the bike box is 2.10 m long and 0.9 m wide. We recommend keeping 1 m free in front of the bike box to allow the bike to be easily wheeled in. This gives us a recommended total area of 3.10 m x 0.9 m Container needs a area of 6,06 m x 2,44 m

Who performs the installation?

Tandem.Mobility employs full time installers (aka “Launch Managers”) who drive around the country in a truck delivering and installing bike locker rental stations. All inventory is stored in our warehouse in Wichita KS, where it is prepped and tested before getting loaded onto the truck. The installation itself usually takes 20 minutes per bike box

Can the station be moved after install?

Yes, the station is not an impermanent installation that sits on top of the ground. Our local technicians can move the station to a new location after install if required.
